The IL-ACDA Outstanding Partnership Award

The IL-ACDA Outstanding Partnership Award was created in 2024 to honor partners of IL-ACDA. The award is given biennially to honor industry partners, outside organizations, and executive leaders who are dedicated to supporting IL-ACDA, choral music, choral directors, and their singers in Illinois. The award is presented during the odd numbered years at Summer ReTreat Awards Banquet or the Fall Conference.

The 2025 nomination letter deadline is February 1st on odd numbered years.

IL-ACDA Outstanding Partnership Award Information

Criteria:
  • Demonstrates the promotion of choral music in Illinois
  • Active Support or collaboration with IL ACDA through events, publicity, or special projects for two or more years
  • Membership is not required
Selection Procedure:
  • A total of one nomination letter and one letter of support from members of IL-ACDA must be submitted no later than March 1 on an odd numbered year.
  • General information about the nominated organization, industry, or executive leader will be sought by the Award Chair of IL ACDA.
  • The full board will vote to approve up to 3 partners that satisfy the requirements of the award. They may decide to submit zero or up to three nominations to be considered by a selected nominating committee.
  • The nominating committee is comprised of three current IL ACDA board members will be appointed by the Partnership Award Chair/Past President. The committee of three board members will consider submitted nominees and select one recipient to receive the award.
  • If the committee decides there is more than one nomination that is worthy of the award, the nomination committee may decide to keep the other submission(s) for the next nomination cycle.
  • The selected nominee will receive the award at the Summer ReTreat Awards Banquet or the Fall Conference on an odd numbered year. The recipient will receive a plaque and free advertisements in the Podium and conference programs for one academic year.
