Rekindling the Choral Spirit: Connecting Through Song

Headliners Elaine Hagenberg and Dr. Brandon Williams
Elaine Hagenberg’s music “soars with eloquence and ingenuity” (ACDA Choral Journal). Her compositions are performed worldwide and frequently featured at American Choral Directors Association conferences, All-State festivals, Carnegie Hall, and other distinguished international concert halls throughout Europe, Australia, South America, and Asia. Winner of the ACDA Brock Competition for Professional Composers, she has composed new music for the American Choral Directors Association, professional choirs, colleges and universities, community choirs, high schools, and churches. In addition to composing full-time, Elaine actively engages in bringing her music to life as the guest artist and featured clinician for professional conferences and festivals both in the U.S. and abroad as a composer, conductor, and accompanist of her work.
Dr. Brandon Williams is an Associate Professor and the Director of Choral Activities at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he conducts the Rutgers Kirkpatrick Choir and the Rutgers Glee Club. He also appears internationally as a guest conductor, clinician, and presenter. Dr. Williams holds degrees from Western Illinois University, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Michigan State University, where he earned the prestigious University Enrichment Graduate Fellowship Award. Dr. Williams is the editor of Choral Reflections: Insights from American Choral Conductor-Teachers, and his writing appears in the Choral Journal, Music Educators Journal, and Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education. He is also the editor of The Brandon Williams Choral Series with Gentry Publications. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Collegiate Choral Organization, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and the National Association for Music Education.

If you are not yet a member of ACDA or your membership has expired, please join/renew your membership on the ACDA National Website first to obtain your membership number.
