Headliners Dr. Kristina MacMullen and Dan Davison
Kristina Caswell MacMullen serves as the Mary Gibbs Jones Chair of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Baylor University. She conducts the Baylor A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers, and leads the graduate program in choral conducting. Prior to her appointment at BU, MacMullen served on the faculties of the University of North Texas and The Ohio State University. As an active adjudicator and clinician, Dr. MacMullen has conducted All-State and honors choirs throughout the United States. She has presented and co-presented interest sessions at state, regional, national and international conferences. Her teaching and conducting is featured on the recording Conducting-Teaching: Real World Strategies for Success published by GIA (2009). A graduate of Michigan State University and Texas Tech University, Dr. MacMullen also enjoyed a diverse career as a public-school teacher.
Dan Davison taught junior high choral music in Puyallup, Washington from 1979 – 2019. Each year, Dan directed Tenor-Bass Choirs, Treble Choirs, Mixed Choirs, and a 16-voice Jazz Choir. Although now retired from public education, Dan continues to compose music and perform professionally with Male Ensemble Northwest. Dan was born in 1956 in Sacramento, California, but since 1979 he has lived in Puyallup, Washington with his wife, Cathy, also a retired school teacher. Dan got his undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University, and his Masters in Music from Western Washington University. Dan is an active ACDA member, serving as a clinician at national, regional, and state conventions, and serving as a guest conductor throughout the Northwest. He has received numerous awards for his role in music education, including the State of Washington Christa McAuliffe Educator of the Year, the Educator Citizen of the Year for Communities in School for Puyallup Washington, and the Outstanding Choral Director Award from the Washington chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association.

If you are not yet a member of ACDA or your membership has expired, please join/renew your membership on the ACDA National Website first to obtain your membership number.
